The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and trauma care to more than 40,000 patients a year.Job DescriptionSign On Bonus $10K - $15KThe Medical Intensive Care Unit has the highest acuity medicine patients in the city of Houston. The primary patient population involves complex pulmonary issues, in addition to high level sepsis and end stage renal disease. All MICU nurses are trained in Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). The Pulmonary Critical Care attending physicians and nurse relationship is one of the strongest in the hospital and the physicians are readily available. We strive for excellent outcomes and have robust quality initiatives. MICU has unparalleled teamwork, nursing is very autonomous and have daily opportunities to learn. Some of our team's accomplishments/projects: One year CAUTI free, currently working on Beacon application, low sepsis mortality and Sepsis pathway.Minimum QualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferredLicenses/Certifications:- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing

- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of RN experience. Prior IMU or ICU is requiered. Prior ER experience will also be considered.
