Solution Architect - Oracle Fusion Cloud PFM

The Solution Lead position is responsible for solution design and governance of the Fusion Projects Financial Management global business processes. As an Oracle Fusion Cloud PFM Solution Architect, you will be providing functional & technical inputs and leadership support to the Oracle Cloud (SaaS + PaaS) implementation teams in addressing complex PFM business requirements. You will be extensively involved in business process mapping, assist in problem definition and propose /create solutions. You will also play an important role in the design, development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. In addition, you will assist in different strategic initiatives related to establish and implement our ERP applications roadmap. This position will be part of the Project team working with multiple regions around the world to design and implement a single business solution/system utilizing Oracle Projects Financial Management applications. A candidate for this position must have global large-scale PFM implementation experience, specifically with the Oracle ERP and Fusion applications.

Overview

  • Oracle Projects Consultant w/ 10 yrs of experience in implementations and support in EBS and Cloud, demonstrated abilities to quickly adapt to new domains and manage teams
  • Demonstrate end-to-end implementation of Oracle EBS Project modules for global enterprises
  • Expertise in advisory, business process analysis, requirement analysis, solution design, conducting CRP sessions, identifying project level risks and issues, and managing mitigation plans, integration testing, system configuration, data conversions, regression testing and cutover plans
  • Expert in Oracle Fusion Cloud PPM Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Execution Management, Project Resource Management and Enterprise Contracts with multiple implementations in SaaS and PaaS model
  • Experience in Global Implementations with multi org and multi - currency setups
  • Excellent understanding and expertise in Subledger Accounting (SLA) configurations in Oracle EBS and Fusion Cloud
  • Expert in Oracle Applications EBS R12 Project Accounting, worked on Project Costing, Project Billing in Oracle R12 from requirement study through support
  • Working experience in Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), P2P
  • Strong documentation experience in preparing various documents like detailed design documents, FIT-GAP analysis, functional specifications (MD.050), conversion designs, configuration documents (BR100) and test cases
  • Active participant in Oracle Cloud Customer Connect in sharing knowledge on various issues in the PPM community, created multiple ideas based on experience and understanding of the application and a Red Ribbon Member of the customer connect community
Day to Day

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, design, recommend process changes and implement Oracle PFM
  • Conduct validations sessions as part of gapping exercises
  • Design and write functional specifications for legacy system data conversions
  • Work with Oracle Consulting (another implementation partner) in integrating PaaS developments such as online billing, projects, and contracts creation into SaaS
  • Roll-out cloud to various entities
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and mitigation plan and report to Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Review test scenarios, test scripts prepared by the team and come up with test schedule by working with client leads
  • Report project progress to PMO
  • Work with technical team in development and conversion activity
  • Gather requirements on Project Financial Management, Project Execution Management
  • Conduct workshops to demonstrate PPM design to business leads
  • Configure Project Financial Management modules as indicated by global design specifications
  • Work with other functional areas at integration points and fine tune business processes
  • Process workarounds or Business Process Change for the GAPS identified during requirements sessions
  • Responsible for configuring and testing projects and financials modules
  • Work with business to collect and convert the legacy data to Oracle using FBDI templates
  • Prepare user training manuals, conversion design, test scenarios and configuration document deliverable as part of implementation
  • Coordinate with users during UAT and ensure smooth transition of Oracle to users
