Surgical Technologist (Iraq)

The Surgical Technician (Scrub Tech) plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and assisting the surgical team throughout the procedure. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.  Key Responsibilities:Prepare the operating room by assembling surgical instruments, equipment, and necessary supplies. Assist in the positioning of patients and ensuring their safety during surgical procedures. Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with established infection control standards. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and surgical team during operations. Monitor the patient’s condition and alert the surgical team to any changes during procedures. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols. Assist with post-operative care, including transferring patients to recovery areas and ensuring a smooth transition. Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records of all supplies used. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events. Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
