Genuent is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator for our direct client in Houston, TX. This is an onsite position and candidates must be local to Houston. Systems/Network Administrator - Houston, TXContract-to-Hire/Direct-Hire Summary:We are looking for a System Administrator to join our IT department. This position will be responsible for managing our server and network infrastructure and Office 365. A successful candidate for this role should have excellent troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience, excellent customer service and communications skills.Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to the Windows server infrastructure
  • Monitors Windows and network infrastructure ensuring proper documentation and regulatory compliance and all machines have the latest security updates and anti-virus updates
  • Installs and supports new server hardware and software network infrastructure
  • Installs OS and configures server for use in the field, data center, and cloud infrastructure
  • Performs capacity planning for all servers, implements and maintains back-up schemes
  • Monitors network infrastructure
  • Provides technical support to LAN and WAN technologies across the company
  • Provides technical support to network security infrastructure
  • Develops standard images for desktops and laptops
  • Manage and Support Cloud Telephone Systems
  • Provides second level support to the service desk function
  • Assists in project work as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
What You Will Bring:
  • 3 - 5 years in IT Support
  • Excellent knowledge on Active Directory, Azure AD, O365 , DNS, DHCP, IIS)
  • Hands-on experience in hardware and operating system troubleshooting
  • At least basic knowledge on LAN and WAN (TCP/IP, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.)
  • Passion to learn, ability to solve complex problems and be self-driven
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills
  • Microsoft certification on Azure AD/O365/ would be desirable
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment; ability to work in high pressure environment
