We are looking for a Vice President of Markets in our Commodity Trading Data & Analytics Team.  Our dedicated oil and gas sector teams are located around the world and deliver research and consulting projects based on our assessment of energy markets and valuation of thousands of individual assets. Together we work with a range of clients including national and major oil companies, operators, investment banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, and institutional investors. This is a fantastic leadership opportunity to make an impact, driving growth in the markets sector of our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Commodity Trading Data & Analytics, leading a group of market analysts and working closely with the Assets group.You will contribute to strategic priorities both within your Markets team and within the greater Commodity Trading Data & Analytics team. You will be accountable for leading your specialized team and delivering a high level of quality in all operations in terms of client impact, integrity, and written word, as appropriate.You will be accountable for your team collaborating effectively with other sectors/specialist areas, such that there is close alignment on cross-team or pan-sectoral issues, and client expectations are addressed. You will be a role model for Wood Mackenzie values and culture, nurturing good practice and seeking continuous improvement.Main ResponsibilitiesContributes to strategic planning and decision-making within Commodity Trading Data & Analytics group, ensuring that programmes and objectives are aligned with broader strategic goals.Leads, directs, and controls activities with your team, so that the short and long-term objectives in the business plan for Commodity Trading Data and Analytics are achieved. Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops teams of managers, Subject Matter Experts, and other professionals.Reviews and monitors performance of the Markets Team, for business efficiency, cost control, compliance, performance measurement and personal/professional development. Accountable for quality and effectiveness of content and deliverables in the Markets Team.Maintains a range of senior-level relationships with operators and clients relating to the Markets Team, which enhance WoodMac’s reputation for industry-leading analysis and expertise
