Location: Houston, TX 77087
Compensation: $18.00 per hour, plus overtime
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Position Summary:
General Laborers are responsible for assisting with the production and packaging of recycled plastic materials in a warehouse environment. This role involves filling and handling product bags, operating along an overhead assembly line, and maintaining productivity and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fill, seal, and move bags of recycled plastic material.
- Hang product bags on hooks along an overhead conveyor system.
- Maintain consistent production output in line with shift requirements.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with material handling and movement of products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Shifts Available:
First Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (1 opening)
Second Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (2 openings)
Third Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (1 opening)
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred.
Ability to work in a dusty environment.
Must provide and wear steel-toe boots.
Background-friendly employer.- (No theft or violence)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is acceptable but not required.
Job Requirements / Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently during the shift.
Must have been previously forklift certified (expired withing the last year).
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Repetitive motion involving arms and shoulders when working with overhead conveyor hooks.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures and dusty conditions.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Reliable transportation to and from the 77087 location.
Work Environment:
This position is performed in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures. Appropriate PPE, including steel-toe boots, is required.
