JOB TITLE: Quality Control Associate

LOCATION: Houston, Texas 77066

SCHEDULE:

Night Shift: 5 pm to 5 am

Monday to Thursday

PAY: $20/hr. + DOE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform in-process and final inspections of frac plugs, packers, and related components.

Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.

Conduct visual inspections for defects, material inconsistencies, and workmanship issues.

Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality system requirements.

Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.

Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in the inspection area.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, quality assurance) is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge (3+ years) of oil and gas industry standards and regulations.

Experience with quality control techniques and dimensional tools.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills.

JOB TITLE: CNC Machine Operator

TYPE: Temp to Hire

LOCATION: Houston, Tx 77066

PAY: $18/hr. + DOE - AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXP

SCHEDULES:

Day Shift: 5 am to 5 pm

Monday to Thursday

Night Shift: 5 pm to 5 am

Monday to Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Run basic programs.

Report on correct production quantity as needed.

Utilize basic part inspection equipment.

Accurately place part identification on finished goods.

Detect and report machine malfunctions.

Detect and identify out-of-tolerance production.

Execute required tool offsets in tool list to maintain required tolerance.

Identify abnormal operating conditions and notify maintenance.

Record downtime in electronic system.

Maintain weekly NCR levels and rejection rate below 3% of work order.

Maintain a scrap rate below 4%

Conduct required preventive maintenance (PM's) at assigned station.

Consistently achieve daily production target of 90%.

Utilization of optical comparator.

Removal of CNC waste.

Basic understanding of G&M code.

Manually "prep" oversized blanks without assistance.

Troubleshoot machine, i.e., clear alarms, clogged coolant lines, adjust jaws.

Produce parts that require mid-range degree of accuracy.

Basic on machine program corrections.

Produce all parts within company library.

Train new operators.

Operate all machines on production shop floor.

Perform basic setups when needed.

Machine complex metal parts.

Understanding of all measuring equipment used on production floor.

Intermediate understanding of prints and inspection techniques.

Advanced tool knowledge.

Assist machine operators as needed to minimize downtime.

Ensure machines are following production schedule.

Execute setups and changeovers in a timely manner.

Set up all basic lathe and mill composite and steel work.

Set up all robot and beta stations.

Set up all advanced composite and steel work.

Perform 100% first article on complex components if no QC inspector is available.

Troubleshoot machine downs issues without maintenance assistance and perform simple maintenance repairs.

Calculation of dimensional callouts - advanced math.

Identify potential process improvements on existing and new product.

Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED is required. Advanced degree or certificate is preferred.

Two to five plus years of lathe and mill experience. A diverse background in running different types of machines is

preferred.

Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of general shop mathematics and able to apply the knowledge into practical

application.

Advanced mechanical aptitude skills.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-pressured, and fast-paced environment.

Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently, is preferred.

Basic computer literacy skills.

Must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision while providing leadership to coworkers.

Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively operate multiple machines at one time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift a minimum of 50lbs, repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.

Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.

Wear the appropriate PPE when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc.).

Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day.
