ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for mid to senior level technician with three or more years of prior demonstrated experience in home automation / audio video / media distribution / lighting & shade control. Technicians will be responsible for performing the installation and programming of consumer electronics including the equipment for systems of all sizes from basic TV installs to full scale home automation systems. Candidates should be self-starters, have a constant drive to figure things out, have a thorough understanding of system design, as well as the installation and troubleshooting process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
-Candidates must have 3+Years of residential low-voltage and automation / home theater installation experience.
-Candidates must have a complete understanding of Control 4 Composer, and be level 1 Control 4 certified (Level 2 is preferred but not mandatory).
-Candidates must have a history of working with matrixes.
-Candidates must be familiar with Pakedge networking and must excel in Windows/Mac internet and network setup.
-We are looking for positive "can do" attitudes, people who work well in a team environment, but can also be successful when sent out alone on service calls.
-A qualified candidate must have professional knowledge and experience with the following: Wired and wireless networking - must have the ability to setup networks and troubleshoot issues Remote control system programming - Control4, Home automation system installation and some programming experience - Control4 System troubleshooting - must have the ability to properly use A/V cable testers & toners Flat panel TV & projector system installation Surround sound system installation & configuration Distributed audio & video systems New construction and retrofit wire installation IR / RS232 / IP protocols and device drivers. Rack building, pre-wiring retrofit & new construction.
BASIC REQUIRED SKILLS
-Must be 18 years or older.
-Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
-Must have clean driving record.
-Must have no criminal background.
-Must be drug free.
-Must have general construction knowledge.
-Must be able to work for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 50lbs at a times, crawl into small spaces, and work in all climates.
-Bilingual Preferred.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Applicant must be willing to work flexible schedules including some weekends and nights.
