We are looking for a Level III Desktop Support Technician who is able to sit onsite in Houston, TX.On-Site Level III Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing third-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues. They will advise users of appropriate actions, follow standard operating procedures, and log all help desk interactions. The technician you will provide operational support for an organization's desktop and network environment including: Windows related activities, Active Directory, LAN and WAN infrastructure activities, and handheld computing devices.Scope and Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7+ years of proficient desktop and network technical skills
  • 4-year college diploma or university degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent experience desired
  • Certification preferred but not required
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Workstation and laptop hardware components experience with Dell, Client & Lenovo preferred
  • Capable of utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot computer / network issues
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 troubleshooting and configuration
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience supporting an enterprise environment
  • Break/Fix experience on laptops and desktops
  • Troubleshooting printers, scanners, tablets, and phones
  • Sets up coordinates and monitors the operation of electronic computer equipment
  • Modifies, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance on telecommunication equipment and related systems
  • Installs, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance of personal computers and related systems
  • Configure and install servers
  • Create users in Active Directory
  • File permission for network locations
  • Knowledge of GOP (Group Policy Objects)
  • Knowledge of Client (Distributed File Systems)
  • Knowledge of server security including firewall and anti-virus
  • Applying security patches
  • Scheduled maintenance of the server including performance monitoring and tuning
  • Working knowledge of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS
  • Basic knowledge of Exchange and SharePoint
  • Resolving file and print server issues
