- positions available are for GOOD heavy equipment operator or GOOD mechanic. you must be one or both. if you are a good mechanic, jack of all trades, and can fabricate and weld i can teach you to operate. otherwise, you need to be a skilled operator. just because you know how to operate equipment does not make you an operator.
Requirements:
- if youre a good operator you must at least be a half decent mechanic. nobody will be there to show you everything.
- strong work ethic. do things without being told. only needs to be told once.
- reliable transportation and a mobile phone taxi type app ready and willing to use in case your vehicle breaks down.
- show up everyday without excuses. show up well rested.
- drivers license.
- no warrants.
- pass drug test. pass alcohol and THC test daily. the slightest trace of alcohol will result in termination. if you like to drink this isnt the job for you.
- reliable phone. you will be required to have verizion and a high quality smartphone within 30 days. must respond to calls on and off duty in timely manner. ( i try not to bother you off work unless i need to).
- positive attitude and promote positivity with co-workers.
- physically fit and able.
- able to back up a trailer and haul heavy equipment with medium duty trucks.
- willing to work weekends and when needed. out of town sometimes. example: if theres good weather saturday and sunday but rain in the forecast m-f. cancel your plans, youre working saturday and sunday. if you somehow come up with an excuse for the weekend dont expect me to feed you shop work when its wet. youll end up getting replaced.
- if you are a very good mechanic, fabricator and all around hand but lack in operating experience i can work with you.
skills that are a plus:
- mechanical skills. - you will be tested.
- welding
- hazardous tree removal, tree climbing, tree cutting.
- supervisor/ crew leader.
Pay:
- pay is in cash.
- pay is weekly. mondays
- first day is an interview. no pay.
- this is not for temporary employment or day laborers so if you dont work out, no pay unless you made me a profit and didnt tear anything up.( my decision). this is to deter guys wanting temp work or free experience.
- training pay is $0-$150 a day depending on performance and satisfaction of work. (Im not a temporary pay check between jobs) until you get good and independent. then up to 225 a day. pay depends upon performance and can go up and down accordingly without notice. potential for 300 a day in the summer. if you come here and tear up my equipment, cause down time, do poor work, cause problems with customers, your pay will suffer or not exist. pay is commission based . you dont get paid just for trying. my good hands always get paid well and never worry about pay. There is more pay potential for proven, long term employees.
- there is potential for top employee to have opportunity to live in 2400 sqft 3br 2b house on property as business grows.
a normal work day consists of (10-16 hrs) an average of a one hour drive to location hauling equipment, 8 machine hours, daily maintenance including sharpening teeth, hauling equipment back to shop, refueling and looking over setup to ensure everything is 100% ready for the next day. things happen and this is not always the case.
