A company in the Jersey Village area is seeking a reliable machine operator who will ensure that their machine is operating up to safety and production standards. A great machine operator will know all about his/her machine and ensure that all order production will be run efficiently and smoothly, while maximizing job quality and time. In this role you will be assigned a specific manual or automatic machine to execute production orders. Machine operation training is provided.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Proven experience as a machine operator.
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Technical degree is a plus.
-Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
-Analytical Skills.
-Ability to add/subtract measurements.
-Attention to detail.
-Teamwork and communication skills.
-Physical stamina and strength to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Pass a background check and drug screening.
-Wear steel toe boots and proper PPE.
-Basic math and reading skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Cut raw metal with machines.
-Set and maintain machines to achieve adequate production speeds.
-Maintain accurate records of machine operations, maintenance activities, and inventory transactions.
-Feed raw materials or parts to manual machines.
-Keep records of approved or defective units.
-Inspect products, materials, and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
-Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
-Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to machine operation, safety practices, and warehouse procedures.
-Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting settings. Troubleshoot machinery issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
-Use basic power and hand tools calibrate machinery.
