QuickBooks/Payroll Specialist Job Description The QuickBooks/Payroll Specialist is a key liaison between accounting and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate management of all accounting operations, payroll tasks, ensuring quality control over transactions and reporting. An outstanding Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude. Manage all accounting operations inclusive of A/P, A/R, and Payroll Daily Management of all accounts and job files to ensure all activities posting. Track of Sales Tax Exempt Projects. Month End process to ensure timely close of month end. Certified Payroll Reporting Perform general administrative tasks. Collecting timesheet data and payroll information. Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs. Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc. Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits. Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions. Preparing and distributing income statements. Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.less thanbr>less thanbr>Qualifications 5 years office experience in the construction industry, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll knowledge. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects with little supervision Accounting Degree preferred Software Knowledge QuickBooks Desktop Contractor Edition Microsoft Office Applications Familiar with Google Apps including the calendar, mail, drive functions.
