Job Description
The Senior Accountant – US Consolidation and Reportingis part of the Financial Reporting group in US Accounting
- Review all US lease abstracts for accuracy and potential financial impacts
- Coordinate with multiple locations/departments to ensure proper updates are reflected in lease asset and liability calculations
- Utilize CoStar software to calculate right-of-use assets and lease liabilities
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accounting systems, including general ledger journal entries for leases
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts, including lease balance sheet and expense accounts
- Perform monthly and quarterly analytical reviews for US leases
- Perform other special projects or tasks as assigned associated with accounting and finance for US Corporate Accounting
- Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
- Maintain detailed work volume in a highly organized manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 3+ years of Accounting experience preferred
- Fundamental understanding of US GAAP lease accounting standard
- Experience with MS Office programs, particularly Excel, and fundamental understanding of accounting systems
- Ability to work with a high degree of detail and able manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
