Client is seeking an API Developer who will be a part of the Platform Team who will help with integrating Medicaid software for customers.

Location: Remote

Duration: 6-month C2H

Essential Job Functions:
  • Design, develop and maintain services using

    REST and SOAP
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced LINUX, RedHat OpenShift environment to expertly design applications using

    JAVA, Spring Boot Microservices
  • Work efficiently with fellow API Developers, Team Leads, Architects to deliver features through the creation of reusable

    RESTful & SOAP APIs
  • Experience working with API Gateways, API Performance testing, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
  • Routinely handle relational databases like

    PostgreSQL, mySQL, Oracle etc. in a cloud or on-premise setup. Experience with NOSQL databases like

    MongoDB, DynamoDB etc. is also desired.
  • Build integrations with various external services based on technical specifications
  • Design, Implement & Support solutions for API security, authentication, identity management, traffic management, analytics, and performance management for APIs
  • Prepare effective test data and functional specifications
  • Run efficient test scripts against code to ensure quality delivery and resolve code issues with urgency
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic Agile / SCRUM environment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technology degree
  • Five or more years of relevant software and

    SOAP & REST API development experience
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in designing applications using

    JAVA, Spring Boot Microservices
  • Experience creating APIs and Shared Flows
  • Core tool knowledge for continuous integration/delivery (

    Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github) as well as tools like

    Swagger
  • Exceptional ability to ensure code meets user stories details
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and communicate effectively up to executive level
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum software development life cycles
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and leadership skills
