Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Automation Developer for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Irving, TX. Responsibilities :
- Automation Opportunity Identification:
- Identify opportunities for automation through data analysis
- Categorize and prioritize opportunities through value-add lens
- Identify opportunities through predictive analytics
- Optimize and Improve application support reliability through automation
- Reduce repetitive tasks and support activities & re-engineer support process where needed
- Deliver support service using automated tools
- Automation Solution Implementation:
- Understand available automation solution/Tools and apply that to relevant use cases
- Visualize automation solution and create proof of concept
- Deliver support service using automated tools like Chatbot & RunBook automation.
- Collaborate with engineering/architecture practice team to innovate, develop and deploy automation solutions
- Direct experience working in(hands-on involvement) multi-dimensional development projects/programs with diverse technology stack and global deployments
- 6 + years software development experience and 4+ years of technical support experience as a team lead
- 2+ years hands-on experience in design, development and implementation of automation solutions
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Chef, Ansible, Linux & Windows (shell/batch scripting & server management), Java, .Net, LDAP, Active Directory, Oracle/SQL Server database (SQL, backup & recovery)
- Strong understanding of various automation tools/solutions used in production support organization. Enjoys hands-on programming/scripting work.
- Experience using Service Management Software (Service Now).
- Solid experience with Chef and/or Ansible
- Exposure to cloud based technologies and frameworks
- Working to deep knowledge of financial products
- Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, lead diverse partners toward reasonable recommendations, and prepare decisions in a logical fashion with supporting impact, to aid in timely decision making
- Must be a self-starter, effective listener, problem solver and team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to understand detailed problem resolution discussions and condense pertinent facts for senior leadership
- ITSM certification is a plus
