Do it here.What you’ll be doingAs a strategic Google Cloud Platform Engineer for the Artificial Intelligence and Data organization, you will provide technical guidance to GCP's adoption andGCP's services. You'll provide application design guidance to modernize existing applications or write new applications. You will be collaborating on new application design and implementation. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Data Engineering to build and constantly drive excellence. This position is part of our Artificial and Intelligence (AI&D) organization which focuses on delivering the power of data and AI to drive our marketplace leadership through innovative solutions that create value for our customers, shareholders, V teamers and society, responsibly. Develop highly scalable systems, algorithms and tools on one platform to support data solutions.
Develop, integrate and optimize end to end data pipeline.
Collect, analyze and synthesize requirements and bottleneck in the technology, systems and tools used by machine learning engineers and scientists, develop solutions that improves efficiency, leverage more amount of data efficiently.
Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, GPU, TPU and FPGA
Explore state-of-the-art deep learning techniques
Lead and provide guidance to team with regards to Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate a cloud solutions.
Configure access and security tools .Automating the build and configuration of IaaS based solutions in Google Cloud Platform
Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines). Knowledge of Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory, Git, etc.
Deliver Proof of Concepts for new Solutions on Cloud
Function as SME both within Verizon and externally within industry
Serve as technical lead and advisor to Verizon India Team
Serve as trusted advisor for the business and IT groups.
What we’re looking forYou’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant experience
Experience building and supporting large-scale, business-critical systems on Public Cloud (Google Cloud Platform or AWS)
Experience in designing and engineering solutions in a cloudinfrastructure environment
Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred
General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system’s
Good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations and their impact on Pricing
Proficient in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks.
Experience with Big Data on GCP – BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet, and Chef
Prior experience working with: container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc)
