Job Overview:The Infrastructure Group Manager is a senior-level position responsible for the design and engineering of Citis Private Cloud infrastructure. The overall objective of this role is to be subject-matter expert and lead engineer delivering solutions that meet the needs of business and technology management stakeholders, in coordination with other technology teams.

As a crucial member of this team, you will be part of the team of bright top-tier engineers. You will be responsible for creating cutting edge private cloud solutions. You will work to continue to develop, mature and manage Citis private cloud offering. You will technically lead architects, engineers, and developers to ensure best practices are implemented and followed. You will find that work is both fun, and challenging in a highly collaborative, inclusive, and agile atmosphere.

We are looking for:
  • 5+ years experience managing a large global team.
  • Deep technical skills across several enterprise technologies, both proprietary and open-source, and a good breadth across many technologies. Knowledge spanning multiple platforms and architectures with deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience building large scale, high performance systems, services, and server software.
  • Extensive experience with Containers, Kubernetes, and automated solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Project Management processes.
  • Test Automation and DevOps Experience
  • Proven ability to deliver quality on time.
  • Excellent communicator with verbal and written skills.
Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Designing & engineering networking solutions for high performance, fault tolerance, scalability, security, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficiency, both in on-premises facilities and in cloud service provider environments.
  • Working with teammates and other peers within the technology organization to deliver solutions via automation.
  • Guiding business teams towards the correct solution for their requirements using site reliability engineering best practices.
  • Assisting with application configuration, integration, and analysis on high-touch projects with our internal partners.
  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation and user documentation describing the solutions and how to use them.
  • Providing guidance to our operations partners on the features we deliver and how these features can best be utilized to serve our business clients.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies to bring into the platform based on business and technology requirements.
  • Driving enhancements to the vendor products we consume to better meet business functional and compliance requirements.
  • Articulate technical designs and solutions in laymans terms.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • 5+ years as a Technical Lead who is very strong knowledge with Operating systems, virtualization, Kubernetes, container, serverless and security technologies.
  • Experience in modern application methodologies and patterns such as microservices, cloud native design, stateless applications and serverless architectures.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies and the ability to context switch with rapidly changing requirements.
  • The ability to quickly decode functional requirements into technical requirements and identify the appropriate product to apply for the given use case.
  • Passion for working with new technologies and a strong desire to always be looking for better solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of operating systems deep enough to assist application teams moving from traditional three-tier application server to containers.
  • 5+ years of experience with automation scripting and orchestration tools.
  • 5+ years of experience of programming languages with ability to read and quickly understand code.
Education:
  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
