Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be regarded as a subject matter expert and have authority in your specific tech stack. You'll mentor and train other software engineers as well as assist in their hiring and placement. While technologies can vary slightly from team to team, our developer roles typically break down into these categories below. We will work with you to determine which of these roles best suits your interests.• Microservices: Java, Maven, Spring Framework, Cloud Platforms (Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, etc.)Success ProfilePeople who are most successful in this role demonstrate the following characteristics:• Proactively digs for problems and provides solution roadmaps• Operates with considerable autonomy and discretion• Takes an ownership mentality for their work and the team• Adept communicator to tech and non-tech audiences• Approachable nature with desire to mentor, teach, and listen to connect• Ability to influence people and guide projects without formal authorityQualifications• 4+ years of Software Engineering work experience• Degree, certification, or commensurate skills in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field• High-level proficiency with Microservices development, iOS, Android, or Web Development• Advanced understanding of how to develop, build, test, and deploy code using an integrated CI/CD Pipeline• Demonstrated ability to manage and complete projects from design phase to implementation phase• Experience formally or informally mentoring and training others in relevant tech stacks or processesResponsibilities• Identify and solve complex problems and complete complex projects independently• Provide strategic guidance and oversight within team's tech stack• Significantly influence multiple applications' design and development by applying subject expertise and an advanced understanding of application programming principles• Accountable for executing and driving results on multiple large-scale efforts• Comprehensive understanding of the business domain, the systems, and the products in your space.• Fully understand the mechanics, boundaries, and scale factors of your dependencies, as well as motivations behind key architectural decisions.• Serve as mentor and trainer to other Software Engineers• Actively participate in contributing to the organization through interviewing, mentoring, onboarding, or other ways.• Create and deliver technical presentations showcasing team efforts and/or emerging technologies and their impact. 165257Please see our complete list of jobs at:www.rmscorp.comVacancy expired!
