Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Lead Systems Architect for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Irving, TX. In the role, this leader will partner with business and technology leadership to deliver strategic direction and roadmaps, collaborate with a team of customer journey and product architects as well as developers to provide architecture solutions in support of delivery efforts, ensure the team is adhering to architecture policies, processes, and controls, support the viability assessment of existing and emerging technologies including their applicability to business requirements and corporate strategy, and their operational readiness for the operating environment according to the Target Operating Model, serve as the highest-level technical consultant to internal business and technical management, develop and standardize architecture development practices for enterprise level use to enable engineering teams to create repeatable, resilient solutions spanning cloud, containers, DevSecOps, CI/CD, microservices, APIs/gateway, service mesh, event- driven architecture, and streaming. Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation of complex projects and initiatives that have companywide scope.
- Assist in the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives.
- Participate in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy.
- Identify medium to high architectural impact projects.
- Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions.
- Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams.
- Make decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures.
- Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.
- Ensure applications adhere to established standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Systems Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
