Join this growing Financial Services organization known for its Service, Performance and People You will be responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining quantitative/econometric models used for identifying, assessing and forecasting risk. Working collaboratively with teams across the organization you will manage the risk model development and implementation including making recommendations to improve accuracy and completeness of forecasts, including quantification of Probability of Default, Loss Given Default, and Exposure at Default. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, document, and support models used to estimate expected portfolio losses.
  • Working closely with the business, risk professionals, internal/external audit, and other stakeholders to become the Expert in risk quantification and modeling.
  • Prepare and analyze data sets for statistical analysis to specify and estimate econometric models for CECL, stress testing, risk rating, and other credit risk related initiatives.
  • Run regression and other econometric analyses to develop models using statistical software such as R or Python.
  • Analyze loan origination, performance and forecasts, to include interpreting and manipulating data to identify and report trends from the findings
  • Participate in quarterly model review and performance testing as well as complete related ad hoc projects and report on their results.
BACKGROUND
  • Strong experience with predictive modeling, including various forecasting techniques such as Logistic Regression, Generalized Linear Models, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, Markov, Multivariate Analysis, and Monte Carlo.
  • Solid experience with linear and non-linear regression, time series estimation and forecasting, optimization, simulation, data mining, survival analysis.
  • Experience with Computational Finance and an understanding of loan origination, operational strategies, and how various approaches can impact the various elements of cash flows, ROAs, and IRRs.
  • Understanding of data sources/warehouses, data mining and data analysis techniques.
  • Programming experience, preferably in Python, R, SQL, Excel/VBA, or similar.
  • Experience working with large data sets with knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and financial analytics.
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, finance, economics, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • General knowledge of GAAP principles related to CECL, Allowance for Loan Losses, SOX, Frank-Dodd, CCAR, and Basel.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
