Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. Candidates should understand how to identitynew business opportunities, bundle products, develop packaging, identify marketgaps and needs, and support sales efforts through collaboration and in-personmeetings.This position reportsto the Head of Market Strategy and will be part of a highly impactful teamfocused on bringing ODC s products to their fullest potential.Key Responsibilities:Partnerwith publisher leadership within the channel organization to build and refresha centralized strategy, identifying insights and priorities that will mosteffectively help drive the publishing organization to meet its goals.Collaboratewith enablement, marketing and commercialization teams to develop publishercollateral across Oracle publisher solutions, incorporating internal and marketfeedback. This will include general presentations, one-sheeters, market-facingnarratives, case studies, best practices and other materials.Leadthe creation and execution of the publisher marketing calendar in partnershipwith the Oracle Data Cloud marketing team, coordinating press releases, blogposts, speaking and event opportunities, and generally supporting Oracle spublishing thought leadership efforts.Participateas a deep subject matter expert in client presentations in partnership withpublisher sales and account management teams, driving forward a value-basedsales strategyTrainpublisher sales and account management to represent Oracle Data Cloud solutionsacross publisher client base, with a focus on positioning and competitivedifferentiation.Partnerwith Oracle product teams to prioritize and drive publisher initiatives.Involvementwith pricing, contracting and sales opportunity analysis.Partnerwith ODC channel, brandy & agency account teams to improve customer engagement,increase customer retention and influence customer acquisition outcomes.Provideguidance and support with publishers contracting processes.Required Skills andExperienceDeep understanding ofthe ad tech ecosystem and all of the entities that are utilized by a publisher,including brand safety and contextual solutions, DMP, advertising measurement,audience data and ad delivery platforms such as ad servers, SSPs and DSPs.Deep knowledge of thepublishing industry and competitive landscape for publisher solutions10 years of ad tech productstrategy, product marketing, sales, sales engineering and/or business developmentexperience.Demonstrated success ina sales support role working independently but also demonstrating strongability to work within a team and gain alignment across functions and teams.Demonstrated trackrecord of building successful client interactions and client-facing materialsand presentations.Strong analytical,problem-solving, technical and strategic thinking skillsStrongclient-facing communication and relationship management skillsExecutivepresence, strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skillsDemonstratedability to self-motivate, guide teams, work in teams and be flexible within afast-paced and changing environmentNY location stronglypreferredTravel up to 10-15%Bachelordegree or equivalentJob: Pre SalesOrganization: OracleTitle: Oracle Data Cloud (ODC) - Head of Strategy, PublishersLocation: NY,New York-New YorkRequisition ID: 19000NCVOther Locations: United States
