Reporting to a Senior Product Manager, the Product Manager will be responsible for defining the customer journey (lease and retail) and identifying areas of improvement to enhance the customer experience while working directly with the Agile scrum teams, along with marketing creative teams, to lead discovery, prioritization of needs, requirements gathering and execution of features and experiences that exceed customer expectations and meet business objectives. You're a collaborator who can work closely among developers, UX designers, marketers, analytics teams and business leaders. You'll be the subject matter expert for some of GM Financial's key digital consumer channels and products, and you'll be recognized as a fierce advocate for putting the customer at the center of everything we do.JOB DUTIES

Understand, communicate and commit to the organization's vision, goals and strategies and translate them into product action plans

Lead the backlog prioritization of initiatives, aligning experiences across channels and touchpoints to ensure the best business results

Identify optimization opportunities to drive continuous product improvement

Lead and nurture a team of direct and/or indirect team members charged with implementing the product roadmap

Work with the Agile scrum team to craft customer-centric user stories

Responsible for prioritizing the product backlog

Manage product performance using key information, processes and systems to ensure accountability for achieving business results

Work closely with Product Marketing leadership team to help define and drive strategic direction of B2C digital products

Ensure clear communication and coordination across business, marketing and IT teams to manage the scope of each product launch and for on-time delivery of key features

Continually monitor competitors and industry developments

Perform other duties as assigned

Conform with all company policies and procedures

Deep understanding of and experience in product management and software product lifecycle in an agile environment

Ability to synthesize analytic results into relevant and strategic recommendations

Additional Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Experience working within a matrix organization, collaborating with business stakeholders, user experience teams, project managers, developers, others

Ability to prioritize new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision

Track record of project execution, completing and shipping excellent products on time and on budget

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required

Experience

5-7 years experience as a product manager or a similar role required
