Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, the role will oversee General Ledger for our business line operations in Canada Region.HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DOAre you looking for more than the traditional accounting responsibilities? Oversee the financial and operational transaction processing in General Ledgers for business line operations.

Oversee the accurate and timely closing of ledgers on a monthly basis for area of responsibility.

Oversee the balance sheet reconciliation for assigned accounts on a monthly basis.

Oversee the annual physical inventory flyover adjustments and review, and manage inventory valuation adjustments and reserves.

Coordinate the external audit support internally for the interim and year-end audits.

Prepare and distribute reports and provide analysis/support as needed on a monthly basis.

Respond to questions and issues and communicate responses to operations and other functional areas.

Work closely with other functions within the SSC groups, Corporate, the Regions and local operations to administer standard business processes and participate in implementing a shared services center environment in North America.

Deliver results individually and as a key team member in a fast paced, high performance culture.

Encourage and identify process improvement opportunities as it relates to the individual’s area of responsibility. Routinely help make our company better!

Provide technical accounting advice on accounting matters

Manage a staff of 8 individuals

This position will be based at our corporate office in Irving, Texas. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or business related field.

Several years of progressive, related experience in accounting or finance.

CPA or CMA is preferable with solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS.

Thorough understanding of the company’s ERP and reporting systems (JDE, SAP, and Essbase).

Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Critical thinking and strong analytical skills.

Solid project management and administrative skills.

Proven track record in managing people, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
