Terrific long term contract opportunity in Irving, TX for a Senior Data Modeler.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with key technology domain SMEs to develop an in-depth understanding of their critical data needs and impact of existing data quality issues.
- Assist in design of conceptual and logical data models that conform to the company's standards.
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Data Owners from other data domains to:
- Establish common policies, processes and tooling for effective data management.
- Drive adoption of these policies, standards, processes and tools in the data domain and monitor compliance.
- Execution of data management activities for the data domain - define, maintain and produce various data resources such as Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Taxonomy, Data Lineage, Data Quality Rules and Metrics, etc.
- 4-5+ years of data modeling, data lineage and data quality experience.
- Previous experience in a formal Data Governance role.
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Tools: Protg and Collibra.
- Good understanding and experience with information architecture concepts (Enterprise Information Management, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Governance).
