Resolves product problems and technical issues. Proactively identifies opportunities for significant operational, process or system level product improvements.
Maintains adherence to Quality System - Implements and maintains the effectiveness of the quality system.
Design Control - Writes, executes and provides technical review of moderately complex system related verification and or characterization protocols and data packages.
Applies moderately complex quantitative methods, analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions and provides and implements improvements.
Defines and documents critical performance requirements that link to sub-system design requirements across interacting functions.
Risk Mitigation - Evaluates technical risks and identifies alternatives, makes recommendations and takes appropriate action.
Technical Investigation Support - Reviews and develops FMEA, hazards, modes of control for Risk Management.
Leads moderately complex investigations involving interacting system level issues.
Leads environmental testing, safety, EMC and acoustic testing, and system performance evaluations.
Has understanding of one or more optimization process techniques: Set targets, ranges and specs - DOE, Guard band, System
Error Budget Analysis, Capability (CPk), Test Method development, determine manufacturability and FPA Advanced proficiency
one or more system component and troubleshoots of parts and subsystems.
Moderate proficiency in another system component.
May serve SME role for CFT investigations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRINGRequired
Advanced degree in Life or Physical Science, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering or closely related discipline is preferred.
4-6 years’ work-related experience with degree or sufficient transferable experience to demonstrate functional equivalence to a degree.
Moderate knowledge of external regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
Good Lab Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, laboratory duties, PC Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Data representation.
Preferred
Prior experience at customer sites is preferred
Prior experience with Blood Banking sites is preferred
Prior experience with environmental, acoustic, EMC and safety testing is preferred
Experience leading investigations with initiative is preferred
