    7DRIVE is 7-Eleven's delivery division and we're on a mission to bring on-demand delivery to cities and towns throughout the United States. As the Software Engineering Manager for 7DRIVE you will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders, and customers to ensure our company's technologies are used appropriately. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. You should be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. You're joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers, marketers, designers, and engineers who create digital products that power an ent ire last-mile-delivery ecosystem.

    About the job:

    The Software Engineering Manager must hav e a strong and continuously growing proficiency in iOS application developme nt with Swift , and Android app development with Koltin . This includes actively participating in designing, developing, r eviewing, testing, and releas ing iOS apps for iPhone , and Android apps, to drive our digital driver experience .

    Work in an environment of cutting-edge application architecture, using latest Apple API's for application modularization and performance enhancements . The 7 DRIVE app is always being updat ed with latest driver-facing features; batched delivery opportunities, in-app driver navigation experiences, and driver perks. A nd we are just getting started.

    Contribute to industry leading application architecture and work with some leaders at the forefront of Digital Technologies.

    About you:

    You have a passion for c ode and putting the customer first and delivering an exceptional experience through the creation of extendable and re-usable products.

    Responsibilities

    • Executes full product lifecycle (inception through deprecation) to create reliable and flexible iOS apps bound for th e iOS AppStore and Android apps bound for the Google Play store .
    • Collaborates with other Engineers, Creative/UX designers, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Business Analys ts and Architects .

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Expert in Native App Development
    • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
    • Experience with XCTestFramework and XCUITestFramework .
    • Solid understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines , including Swift UI for application development.
    • Experience in creating dynamic frameworks for di stributing modularized features.
    • Comfortable with integration to RESTful APIs
    • 3-5 years of experience in product development as engineer or senior engineer.
    • Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
    • Well organized with a bias for action with minimal direction .
    • A team player with a start-up/ entrepreneur mindset .
    • Ravenous about learning technology and problem solving .
    • Strong writing and communication skills.
