Long term contract opportunity in Irving, TX for a QA Automation Tester. Will involve working with the global team that onboards multiple source systems to Big Data platform. Will primarily focus on the QA initiative to build sustainable and scalable automation frameworks to support large scale migrations.
Responsibilities:- Automate the test application which involves framework designing, script development, script execution.
- Involved in testing big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, regulators and external-facing teams to understand functional requirements and develop test automation solutions.
- Understand and analyze business, functional, technical and UI (User Interface) requirements of the project/release.
- Identify risks and provide mitigation plan.
- Escalate issues on timely manner to management.
- Execution of test scripts, documenting the actual results and defects.
- Responsible for overall adherence to QA test protocol and processes.
- Demonstrate quality improvements and metrics gathering.
- 5-8 years of hands-on QA automation experience.
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience of developing automation tools using Java, Selenium, Cucumber.
- Prior experience in big data automation testing using Java/Scala/Spark will be preferred.
- Experience of working in Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala).
- Proficiency in SQL and Unix.
- Proven automation capability including maintenance and enhancement of automation framework.
- Experience of testing across complex end to end systems with multiple interfaces and dependencies.
- Good functional understanding of equities business, order lifecycle and front to back data flow.
- Good understanding of ETL concepts.
- Hands on experience in CI/CD pipeline, GIT, Team city.
- Expertise in test management tools: ALM, JIRA.
- Must have exposure of working in Agile/iterative development.
