    Responsibilities

    7-Eleven is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Enterprise Technology Team. You're joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers, designers and engineers who create enterprise products that impacts thousands and millions of people experience every day.

    The Role has the responsibility first and foremost, innovate, POC , developing software our users need and work in development/agile teams at 7-Eleven along with the Technical Lead/Manager, Software Engineering.

    About you:

    You have a passion for hands-on coding, defining product backlog and putting the customer first and delivering an exceptional experience through the creation of extensible and re-usable products & services . You will be helping to innovate, POC, and work in development/agile teams at 7-Eleven along with the Technical Lead/Manager, other s oftware Engineer s .

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Innovation, assessing requirements that are said and unsaid, performing proof of concept, developing solution and code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders;
    • Leads the work of other small groups of engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples .
    • I dentifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes.
    • Actively engages in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence /defining overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.
    • Focus on improving current software development practices and standards.
    • Research new technologies to support 7-Eleven's digital transformation vision. Fully familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development practices .

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering
    • Hands-on Development skills and usage of Key Technologies - ReactJS, Nodejs, Java; REST-based web applications development; Spring Framework; API's, Microservices, JSON; JUNIT; JavaScript; DevOps CI&CD; Azure Cloud;

      years , System Design Skills and Experience in web based large scale enterprise application.
    • Technical Breadth with multiple Disciplines: Software engineering, Integration, Data Security, Infrastructure etc. SAFe Agile experience: from design through development, testing, implementation, production and support.
    • M entorship of Junior level engineers make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services and applications at scale .
    • A bility to communicate complex technical information to all stakeholders of the project, including those who do not have a technical background and possess exceptional troubleshooting skills to asses quickly complex programming applications.
    • Stays on the leading edge of software development tools and best practices.
    • Self-directed with a start-up entrepreneur mindset
