The Financial Specialist provides support to the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC). This position performs aspects of budget and financial support, including, but not limited to assisting with document preparation, contract tracking, tri-annual preparation, and Miscellaneous Obligation/Reimbursement Document (MORD) administrative sorting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge / quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative / motivation, cooperation / relationships, problem analysis / discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral / written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability / dependability, flexibility and ownership / accountability of actions taken.Manages and organizes resources to efficiently and effectively meet the objectives of each task.Provides administrative assistance with tracking of financial documents such as Purchase Requests (PR), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR), contracts, MORDs, Journal Vouchers and other related financial documents.Compiles fiscal data from existing Air Force data bases involving obligations, expenses and object class information, narrative information, and budgetary data for reconciling open contracts.Conducts and consolidates accounting data from financial calls such as the tri-annual Review, Monthly MORDs, Dormant Obligations, Open Commitments, and Control Summary Record (CSR) Management.Assists with meetings including preparation for Financial Working Groups (FWG) and Financial Management Boards (FMB) for final submission by AFSFC Government Finance Chief.Works in open contracts from prior year by providing statuses for the AFSFC Government Finance Chief to close contracts.Assist with tri-annual review reporting by obtaining applicable reports’ statuses to determine needed actions with DFAS or contracting agencies to ensure dormant open documents are being closed in a timely matter by AFSFC Government Finance Chief.Obtains Government Finance Chiefs review of report statuses prior to electronically sending out 30 and 60 day letters to vendors to close purchase requests. Provides administrative support such as file plan, drafting meeting minutes, and consolidating major funding drill data requirements from Security Forces Units for final submission by the AFSFC Government Finance Chief into systems such as Air Force Budget Execution Analysis Tool (AFBEAT), Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), and Automated Business Services System (ABSS).Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree in business administration, economics, finance or other related field and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.
