The primary function of this position will be leave management and workers' compensation.Position Summary:This position provides clerical and administrative support in one or more functional areas of Human Resources.Essential Duties Responsibilities:Assist in the development and execution of annual Human Resources programming strategies that align with Cooperative goals and philosophyCoordinate logistics for a wide variety of Human Resources programs and activities, i.e., scheduling, employee events, compliance training, wellness programs, open enrollment, employee communications, recruitment activities and policy training.Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling Human Resources program invoices and budget itemsAssist with the implementation and administration of various Human Resources programs, activities and policiesCollect, analyze and report on Human Resources performance measures, department statistics and industry trends Evaluate ongoing or proposed programs to determine efficiency, cost effectiveness and program utilizationDevelop and deliver presentations and intranet content to promote and support Human Resources activitiesMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of changes in technologySupervisory /or Leadership Responsibilities: May provide technical direction to othersKnowledge, Skills Abilities:Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing informationKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer serviceSkilled in time managementSkilled in planning and organizingSkilled in identifying, analyzing and resolving problemsSkilled in creating and delivering presentationsSkilled in working with diverse groups and individualsSkilled in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with service providers Ability to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to set prioritiesAbility to multi-taskAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to listen and understand information verbally and in writingAbility to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problemsMinimum Qualifications i (Education, Experience, Certification, and Licensure):Bachelor's degree in a related field Directly related experience may substitute for educationThree years of directly related experienceValid Texas Driver's LicenseThe primary function of this position will be leave management and workers' compensation.Physical Demands Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.i Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.The employee may be required to stand; reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneelThe employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of timeThe employee may be required to lift, carry, push, pull or move up to 50 poundsThe employee may be required to travelExempt employees receive a fixed bi-weekly salary to compensate them for all hours worked during each pay periodThis position may be required to work more than 40 hours per weekPedernales Electric Cooperative is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
