The LTV Project Office is part of the NASA EVA and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP) at Johnson Space Center. Join the Aerospace Human Exploration and Spaceflight (HESF) team in providing the skills and experience necessary to assist the LTV Project Office in shaping the future of Artemis space exploration.This is a hybrid position located at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX.What You'll Be Doing- Support the LTV Project Office at NASA Johnson Space Center, which is responsible for the definition, development, and implementation of the LTV in support of the Artemis architecture.
- Provide subject matter expertise to the LTV Project Office, including coordination of project activities, meetings, and tasks.
- Support the assessment of engineering design concepts and architectures.
- Communicate effectively and be able to summarize and present analysis findings to both Aerospace and NASA Senior Staff.
- Support system level trade studies, concept of operations definition, and requirements definition and verification.
- Provide technical input to Moon-to-Mars and Artemis architecture teams, working groups, TIMs, and the EHP.
- Coordinate CR evaluations, disseminate change information, consolidate evaluations, and submit final evaluation.
- Occasional travel may be necessary.
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or science
- 8 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
- Experience in integrating hardware systems
- Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
- Ability to work in various SE&I functions in a quick-paced environment
- Innovation, creativity, and initiative
- 12 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments
- Same experience as above
- Initiative and critical thinking skills
- Experience performing or leading technical and programmatic tasks for NASA
- Experience with the NASA program life cycle and system engineering processes
