The Business Analyst will be part of the Digital Product team within Academy's Omnichannel organization and support both eCom product and project activities. They will provide business analyst support and serve as voice of the customer through identification and elicitation of requirements from cross-functional stakeholders. Working closing with our Product Managers they will build and maintain product backlogs. Through documentation of detailed requirements and supporting artifact creation, they will ensure engineering, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing teams have the required detail to delivery on the product roadmap and that our products are continually improving to add value to our customers.Job Description:Education:- Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required
- 1-2 years of business analyst experience, preferably in Omnichannel or eCommerce
- 0-1 year of experience working in an agile methodology preferred
- 0-1 year of corporate retail experience preferred
- 0-1 year of project coordination experience preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to elicit business requirements from a variety of stakeholders
- Experience writing requirements in the form of user stories
- Experience refining and clarifying requirements with the business and IT stakeholders
- Experience creating artifacts such as process maps, wireframes, mockups, etc.
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading sessions and presenting findings
- Ability to build trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Adequate technical acumen to communicate effectively and understand technical tradeoffs
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at a given time within a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools preferred
- Experience working in agile delivery models preferred
- Experience working with product management teams preferred
- Ability to understand integration techniques and conducts data Mapping working session with Dev teams
- Partner with Digital Product Management to execute the product roadmap by working with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and create supporting artifacts
- Lead grooming and clarification sessions to provide engineering, QA, and UAT teams with detailed requirements to develop and test against
- Partner with support, customer care, and other avenues to extract defects and opportunities to be converted into the product backlog
- Partner with user experience to translate UI design and research into actionable development-ready user stories
- Partner with User Acceptance Testers to ensure the delivered product meets the business objectives and launch criteria
- Provide business analyst support for large transformational projects through activities such as requirements workshops, process mapping exercises, and gap analysis
- Be proactive and utilize critical thinking to make the right decisions for our customers and business
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Academy's policies, procedures and safety rules
