Local teacher's organization seeking a flexible, organized, friendly, out-going individual to train in a fast-paced, multi-tasking and constantly changing atmosphere. This entails recruiting members to sign up and pay membership dues. This is a field based position and it is expected that the Recruiter will spend 90% or more of his/her time in the field at scheduled recruitment events. Must be able to work flexible hours in Killeen ISD.
Must have:
Experience as a member recruiter and closing the sale.
Prior experience and/or knowledge of outside sales, marketing and/or community relations.
Be able to hold 1:1 conversations with teachers, bus drivers and school employees. Have Group/Public speaking experience.
Have some knowledge of public education funding or policy.
Have a reliable car (mileage reimbursement provided).
Work very flexible hours (hours vary each week).
Be able to effectively and proficiently use: Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel.
Be a self-starter and be able to work independently and/or in a group setting.
Must have some basic conversation Spanish skills (reading and writing in Spanish not necessary.
Must be able to pass ISD's raptor clearance system for access into schools.
