PLUMBING/HVAC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of plumbing and HVAC equipment components and to ensure proper installation

Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.

Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.

Cut or drill holes in floors, walls, or roof to install equipment, using power saws or drills.

Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe or tubing, using pipe fitter's tools.

Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools.

Engage in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components

Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers.

Connect heating or air conditioning equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant source to form complete circuit.

Assemble, position, and mount heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints or manufacturer's specifications.

Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.

Wrap pipes, securing insulation in place with cement or wire bands.

Assemble, install, and repair appliances and fixtures

Complete calculations and measurement to ensure function of equipment and systems correctly

Follow all established safety procedures

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate for the Lead Plumber/HVAC position will possess a High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in Plumbing and/or HVAC

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to work unsupervised

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, etc.

Knowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools

Basic math abilities

Mechanical aptitude

Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills

Uncompromising commitment to safety

Ability to communicate effectively in English
