FLEET REFRIGERATED TECHNICIAN
We are looking for a experienced Mechanic to become part of our Team at our Location in Temple, TX. This person will know to Troubleshoot and Repair Medium to Heavy Trucks and Trailers. Will assist employees and maintain vendor relationships and resources. Tremendous transportation, parts and mechanical experience preferred. Computer skills are required and Drivers License a must. Dealer experience helpful. Must pass background and drug test. Must keep the Shop clean, neat and organized.
Salary depends on experience.

Job Overview:
1. Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Perform mid-level diagnosis/repair of refrigerated equipment to ensure equipment operates safely protecting cargo and general public.
2. Troubleshoot and repair basic mid-level refrigerated equipment issues on various components including, basic electrical system, refrigeration system, air intake system, etc.
3. Test single and multi-temperature refrigeration units to ensure the systems are functioning appropriately and efficiently while adhering to various governing regulations.
4. Complete necessary tags and work orders.
5. Perform regularly scheduled, preventative maintenance on refrigeration units.
6. Recognize and identify, non-trailer related repair or maintenance items (trailer, tires, etc).
7. Ensure the issue is fixed by appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
8. Move equipment in/out of the shop and around the yard as necessary.
9/ Assist with non-refrigerated trailer maintenance and repair as needed.
10. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Skills: Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills; must be able to perform all essential functions of a 4M Maintenance Technician; valid drivers license; good verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively; ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders; computer keyboarding skills.
Education: High School Diploma GED or graduation from trade/technical school preferred. Additional technical school education may substitute for required experience. Drivers license required. Basic Thermo king school certifications required.
Experience Required: Five (5) years of heavy equipment/mechanic related experience and one (1) year of refrigerated trailer experience. Completion of the 4MRT Swift Developmental Packet will replace one (1) year required refrigerated trailer experience.
