SUMMARY Bering Global Solutions, LLC (BGS), a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking a full-time (or part-time considered) Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) to support physical training evolutions at the Battlefield Airman Preparatory Course on Lackland AFB, TX. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.

Provide medical coverage for all physical training evolutions to include aquatic and outdoor training evolutions.

Obtain and maintain thorough knowledge, understanding and application of all required Air Force medical protocols.

Inventory, sign for and maintain accountability of issued medical equipment and supplies.

Respond to emergencies and incidents as required to resolve the situation in accordance with standard medical procedures and military protocols.

Stabilize, treat and transport injured students as required to provide appropriate medical care.

Plan, coordinate and brief daily medical plans and procedures to ensure that all training evolutions are supported.

Appropriately document and communicate all treatment provided with medical authorities and BA Prep staff.

Maintain control and accountability of all personally identifiable information (PII), medical chits and medical records.

Plan, coordinate and conduct daily sick call for students; coordinate and communicate requirements with unit medical staff.

Assist with medical screening and in-processing; review student medical surveys and other data.

Coordinate, organize and participate in drawing blood samples from students to support analysis unique to the BA Prep course.

Provide subject matter expertise, at the EMT-P level, to BA Prep staff and students, including injury prevention and mitigation.

Perform any relevant medical duty in the course of physical and aquatic training modules.

Maintain excellent physical condition commensurate with field duties and treating and transporting injured students in a high-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONRequired (Minimum) QualificationsEducation:

Shall have the appropriate level(s) of education and certification to perform the required function – at a minimum, shall possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Have three (3) years of paramedic experience within last five (5) years.

Certifications/Licenses

Maintain registration by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT-P). Candidates may hold a State of Texas EMT Registration in lieu of NREMT.

Maintain registration as an American Red Cross and/or American Heart CPR/FIRST AID Instructor.

Maintain an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).

Required to maintain certifications and complete Continuing Medical Education (CME) hours.

Preferred

3 years paramedic experience within last 5 years

Experience with athletic programs or military

This position requires working indoors, outdoors and at a swimming pool/aquatics center facility. Must be able to maintain health in hot and cold conditions with exposure to the elements.Must be flexible and able to adjust with changes in work schedule, as directed by the customer.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
