DescriptionOur site in La Porte,Texas has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Control / Utilities Process Operator. The EC/ Utilities Process Operator monitors and operates equipment and facilities ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures. While performing minor maintenance functions within their operating area and within their level of expertise, they'll maintain safety standards at all times as well as initiate emergency procedures when necessary. Rotates through various roles within area, including, in some cases, a control room rotation. This position works a rotating 12-hour shift schedule. Located along the Houston Ship Channel, the La Porte site supports four business units within the industrial park.Responsibilities:How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

Packages, ships, and receives finished, raw, or intermediate materials.

Performs sequences of operations and troubleshooting required to operate or support the operation of the Environmental Control and / or Utilities processes.

Follow Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards and practices.

Participates in and accepts all Safety, Health and Environmental responsibilities.

Operation targets, quality standards, and equipment within their work environment.

Perform required Safety & Fire equipment checks, testing and inspections.

All applicants must successfully complete onsite assessments to be considered for the role.

Successful candidate will need to be comfortable with physical labor and heights and be willing and able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. All candidates will need to pass fitness for duty medical qualification.

Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground while using all fall-protection equipment and protocols.

Lift up to 40 pounds.

Work outside in inclement weather.

Work in compact and confined spaces, while following proper confined space entry protocol.

Safely drive/operate a forklift, manlift, scissor lift, or motor vehicle.

Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

You value the safety of yourself and your co-workers and will eagerly participate in safe work practices, on-the-job safety, and work safety programs, including wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily, including half and full-space respirators when needed.

QualificationsRequirements:What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

High school diploma or GED equivalent AND Two (2) year Associate Process Technology degree, OR Three (3) years Chemical / Petrochemical Operator experience.

Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Work well with people and able to work effectively with individuals and teams

Basic or higher -level computer and computer program skills.

Possess a current, valid US driver’s license.
