We have an immediate opening for a Training Specialist.Job Purpose: Responsible for the determination of required training and the delivery of training to support a specific region and occasionally to a wider audience as required. Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Deliver Training in various delivery methods including ILT, VILT, and distance learning;

Assist with design and development of course content and training materials for use in multiple technologies for various delivery options (ILT, VILT, CB, WB, etc.);

Assist in edits and updates of MRC specific software and other instructions/procedures as required;

Work with Training Manager and Instruction Design Coordinator to develop training as required/requested by the business regions they represent;

Work closely with the training team, field and others regarding content for courses;

Work closely with the Training Coordinator for scheduling training classes and set up;

Handle communication and collaboration with BASE Players; coordinates and delivers train-the-trainer delivery content as required, coordinates training objectives (required training, etc.) with BASE players for delivery;

Provide supervisory support to BASE Players as required;

Work with BASE Players to recognize critical training needs for the region and assist OD&L in preparing the training materials required to fulfill the training needs;

Work with team as needed on training preparation for classroom training (includes updating Training Region, creating class exercises and case studies);

Establish and maintain good working relationship with cross-functional departments, teams, management, BASE players and SME’s;

May assist in proofing and editing instructions/procedure written by others;

Test computer-based training and written instructions;

Will participate in development opportunities as defined for the OD & L team and for individual development/training to improve performance in this role as required;

Frequent travel;

Perform other duties and projects as assigned;

Any combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered.

Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;

Working knowledge of (or ability to learn) methods of instructional design, development and delivery;

Working knowledge of (or ability to learn) tools & software that support the training design, development and delivery requirements;

Computer skills (to include MS Office, Word and PowerPoint) a must and various computer-based training delivery platforms such as WebEx, Adobe and/or Citrix GoToTraining;

Basic knowledge of or ability to learn MRC specific software;

Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating computer instructions and procedure manuals and transfer concepts into training modules;

Ability to assist in writing technical training procedures, training material, reports, correspondence, system procedures and business processes;

Working knowledge of Social Medias that may be utilized to enhance the training experience;

Ability to establish good working relationships with cross-functional teams and individuals;

Ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers;

Ability to work independently; good organization and time management skills; thinks analytically and proactively;

Ability to lead/manage and coordinate functions required for the BASE Players within each specific region.

Additional Qualifications:

Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;

Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries;

Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
