- Navigate manufacture websites to find part information.
- Download applicable files for import into AutoCAD or acquire enough information to draw a reasonable representation.
- Contact manufacturers to request part information if needed.
- Coordinate with Design Team and/or panel shop to determine required mounting and orientation of parts.
- Navigate in AutoCAD 3D environment.
- Create 2D block drawings containing required attributes, layers, line types and colors.
- Explain drawings to Designers and provide adjustments, as necessary.
- Utilize Autodesk Vault to distribute new filessaveas.
- Review drawings for accuracy by cross referencing block names with bill of materials part numbers.
- Follow procedures for converting drawings for CNC use.
- Provide dimension drawing for the Panel Shop to check accuracy of cutouts.
- Coordinate with Designers and the Panel Shop to adjust as needed.
- Navigate manufacture websites to find part information.
- Utilize Microsoft Access to update parts database.
- Utilize Autodesk Vault to distribute update files.
