The role will drive and support operational initiatives and activities for the North American auto operations group through rigorous data analysis. Ally's ability to bring on new business will be dependent on our ability to continuously improve our product line up against the competition. This requires a dedicated and focused professional to measure and monitor Ally product offering effectiveness, to review customer data, to understand the story behind the numbers, and to recommend enhancements/improvements to product offerings based on sound analysis. As a member of our Product Management team you will be required to respond quickly to business opportunities as they arise while maintaining day-to-day operational activities.Job Responsibilities

Develop quant-oriented analysis

Identify opportunities for improvement in areas such as; credit risk modeling, acquisition strategy, profit modeling, go-to-market strategies, servicing and origination operations Provide technical and analytical guidance and recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems

Develop analytical methods to assess market, credit and / or operational risks of new and existing financial products

Develop tools and metrics to measure and monitor expected versus actual

Provide analytical power to improve product offerings

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred. 5 + years in customer service or financial services industry is needed. At least 2 years leadership experience preferred.

Candidate should have programming experience and must be flexible and eager to learn new processes and systems, exhibit critical thinking skills, possess problem solving abilities, and remain comfortable in a changing environment. Cognitive thought process abilities are necessary to ensure all programming is completed accurately and effectively. Auto finance experience is desirable. SAS OR SQL experience. Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including extensive knowledge of Excel and the suite of MS Office programs. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work with imperfect data and apply sound financial assumptions to derive meaningful results. Experience with business and statistical analyses including regression analysis, decision-tree, clustering, variable reduction, econometrics and data visualization is preferred.
