excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating nursing diagnoses and
establishing goals, planning and implementing intervention and evaluating

Responsible for participating in and maintaining quality, cost effectiveness
and guest relations. Provide patient care in compliance with hospital policies
and procedures and the standards of professional nursing practice as defined by
the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of TexasPositionResponsibilities
Utilizes thenursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a costeffective, quality driven, and patient focused manner. Collects pertinent social,psychological, developmental and spiritual data from the patient, significantothers and other health care teammembers.
Performs asongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnosis and goals, plansappropriate interventions, and evaluatesthe outcome of theinterventions.
Consistentlydocumentsinthepatientandunitrecordsaccordingtowrittenhealthsystemstandards of care in order to meet legaland quality patient carerequirements.
ProvidesappropriateteachingandinformationtopatientsandfamiliesincludinginformationonPain Management, Nutrition, SkinIntegrity, fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, andDischargeinstructions.
Demonstratescommitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community andnursing professionthroughcostcontainmentmeasures,maintainingconfidentiality,appropriateethicaldecision–makingand ensuring patient safety.
Usesinterventionssubstantiatedbyresearchasappropriateinthepatientpopulation,participatesin research activities, identifiesopportunities for research, and collaborates with the Outcomes managers anddepartment.
Participates inquality of care activities, evaluates the quality and the effectiveness ofnursing practice. Assists in collecting quality data, analyzes the data, andformulates action plans to improve qualitycare.

Minimum Qualifications Education Level · Associate's
Degree inNursing or Bachelor’s
Degree in NursingLicensure/Certification · Texas
Registered NurseLicense· BLS· ACLS – within 6
months of hire/transferKnowledge,Skills, and Abilities · EffectiveCommunication· Knowledge of
the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient
