With 320 beds and a team of more than 500 physicians representing over 35 specialties, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient services. What you will do in this role:Primary duties: Under the direction of the Director of Med/Surg, the LVN /OBS Reviewer / BSCR is responsible for collecting, trending, and reporting data to the Director. The nature of the data will include nursing documentation of IV end times, IV administration time charges and injections on observation patients. The LVN is responsible for entering and reconciling charges utilizing information provided by the nursing staff. Additional tasks as assigned by Director.Under the mentorship of the Bariatric Coordinator and direction of the Bariatric Director, The LVN/OBS Reviewer/BSCR is responsible for bariatric data collection and identification of areas for quality improvement, accurate and timely data entry into program’s database and report generation.Utilizes the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association. The LVN/OBS Reviewer/BSCR will deliver care under the supervision of the RN based on the developmental, physical and psycho-social needs of each patient. Performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient. The employee performs additional tasks/activities as assigned by the RN.What qualification you will need:Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing
Current licensure in the State ofTexas
Current BLS certification is required
Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital surgery department or surgery clinic or with clinical research or medical records.
Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required.
Meditech, Internet, Excel, Adobe, spreadsheet, database entry and/or management, Microsoft Office, Word, Emar experience required.
PowerPoint and Access experience and basic statistical knowledge preferred.
