Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced IT Technician for the greater McAllen area.
Job Summary
Develop, optimize and troubleshoot information systems including computer systems, networking, clouds, google apps, gathering of data and programming data interfaces.
Schedule
Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm or as needed to complete required tasks.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Plan, optimize and execute the purchase of computer equipment and the equipment surrounding the computer systems.
2. Install, upgrade and troubleshoot computer systems.
3. Format, develop, program and optimize company data information systems, especially in google sheets.
4. Manage and optimize the cloud storage, backup and access of files and data by all employees.
5. Train employees to use computer equipment, google apps and information interfaces.
6. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot networking systems.
7. Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot VOIP phone systems.
8. Troubleshoot mobile phones, tablets and other communication equipment used by employees.
9. Review and optimize contracts with suppliers of IT related systems such as printers, phones, internet, google and others.
10. Implement and follow the IT policies.
Marginal Responsibilities
1. Provide IT services at other locations following the same policies.
2. Take courses and stay well informed and trained in technology
3. Assist with other non-IT tasks as needed.
4. Stay familiarized and assist in the technical support department.
5. Respect and cordially assist all employees, visitors, suppliers or anyone present at the company.
Qualifications and Education
1. High School and additional technical education or experience in IT related fields
2. Computer savvy in hardware and software
3. Advanced use of apps, preferably google apps
4. Advanced use of mobile phones, tablets and technical equipment
5. Bilingual
