- Answer incoming calls from the field regarding Company policies and procedures, policy guidelines, underwriting requirements, licensing and contracts, claims, commission structure and policy maintenance and product coverage.
- Answer assigned emails from Agency Service general agent email box and ESD Agents email box as assigned.
- Research questions and problems for agents and advise them of results.
- Complete any and all necessary paperwork and system updates.
- Meet quotas for phone stats set as standard for Department.
- Complete other tasks/projects as assigned by Team Lead and Supervisory Staff.
- Attend training on a recurrent basis when scheduled.
- Extensive use of PC and phone.
- Good number and name recognition skills and above average verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent telephone communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure and deal effectively with the public and Home Office personnel.
- Must have good reasoning ability to analyze information and make logical conclusions.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Good math aptitude and basic calculator skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology helpful.
- Must be organized and accurate.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Internet and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- One year of office experience required. Preferred use of Microsoft and internet a must.
- Telecommunications/call center experience or insurance experience preferred.
