Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), is currently seeking a Network Administrator for an onsite (in McKinney, TX) permanent opportunity.Qualifications
- 3+ years general experience with a wide range of supporting all facets of technology infrastructure.
- Experience with performing network infrastructure and system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Previous Project Management experience.
- Experience in Windows Server platforms particularly 2012 R2, 2016 - Standard and Enterprise versions.
- Working knowledge of network configurations including designing and maintaining LANs and WANs.
- Knowledge and experience with ground up network installation and setup including servers, routers, switches, access points and circuit configurations.
- Ability to work with 3rd party network and hosting providers.
- Experience working with solution partners.
- Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Experience working with cloud servers and virtual environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and domain services.
- Familiarity with remote management tools.
- Experience with physical installs and expansion of client facilities.
- Basic VoIP knowledge and experience including hosted and premise environments.
- Basic knowledge of web hosting and domain management.
- Comfortable offering up suggestions for continual process improvement.
- Offers hardware and software recommendations based on need with an eye towards the future growth of the organization.
- Azure administration not required but preferred.
- Travel requirements: 25-30%.
- Contributes to and supports the corporate Enterprise Cloud strategy, standards, and best practices associated with all aspects Cloud offerings.
- Monitors the performance of the network to identify any issues.
- Routinely perform analysis and break/fix operations during normal IT Infrastructure operation, including networks, firewalls, applications, and devices.
- Work closely with the Information Security team to ensure a plan is in accordance with mitigating issues involving security procedures.
- Provides plans to the IT Team and works with other organizational members to implement necessary upgrades, patches, or troubleshooting when problems arise.
- Documents all changes and follows all change management procedures.
- Proactively communicates upcoming infrastructure changes to management, submit peer reviews, guide the workforce through transitions, and decrease any negative impact on the business.
- Identify opportunities to use emerging technologies to increase efficiency and flexibility.
- Formulate improvement plans and present to leadership.
