- Ensure compliance with IRS and DOL requirements for documents and administration .
- Annual ADP/ACP (non-discrimination testing)
- Test compliance, determine eligibility and contribution levels, complete and submit government forms, and prepare and distribute summary annual reports, etc.
- Provide support to Plan Administration with internal and external compliance audits
- Assist with the distribution of notices and other time sensitive retirement materials
- Support regular inquiries, investigation, and correspondence with retiree's, active, and terminated participants in all retirement plan.
- Assist in maintaining employee databases and data integrity with third-party system.
- Distribute and track retirees benefits paperwork to ensure timely return and follow-up as needed with retirees.
- Review and approve defined contribution requests from third party provider and reconcile payroll contributions.
- Ensures retirement plans are administered in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits.
- Preparation and review of annual and semi-annual defined contribution discretionary contributions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience working in the administration of defined contribution.
- Ability to read and understand complex plan documents
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and verbal/ written communication skills.
- Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team with a focus on achieving exceptional results.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required for success
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to clearly explain retirement plan options in easily understood terms.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other related software and system interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations a plus.
- SHRM-CP or PHR a plus
- At least five years of experience working in the administration of defined contribution plans
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field required or equivalent work experience with proven problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures in employee benefits a plus.
