DescriptionAccountemps has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity that offers a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Mesquite, Texas area and will be a short-term temporary-to-full-time position.What you get to do every single day
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Manage full-cycle A/P
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Requirements-1) Chart of Accounts (what it is and how to use)2) Minimum of 3 years relevant experience to our specific need not just any accounts payable role3) Intermediate Excel skills. Should have experience using Pivot Table and VLOOKUP’s.4) 2 years of experience auditing expense reports against company expense policya. Must understand what our expense policy is5) Must understand the difference between expense and a capital expenditure6) Bank reconciliation experience7) Code Journal Entries8) Debit and credit transaction9) Epicor is a plus but not required (prefer larger ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics etc.) though over QuickBooks, for example)10) Previous Team Lead or supervisor experienceAccountemps matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs at the best companies on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
