DescriptionA detail oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper is needed in Midland, TX on a Temporary to Full Time basis. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will report directly to the CFO.Full Charge Bookkeeper job responsibilities include,
Establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balancing accounts by reconciling entries.
Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
Balancing general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Maintaining historical records by filing documents.
Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Requirements
Prior Bookkeeping experience is preferred.
Knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other accounting programs.
Self-starter and detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve objectives.
Ability to resolve accounting and financial problems.
