Job DescriptionThe NGL PipelineSpecialist’s responsibilities include technicalsupport, training, projectdevelopment and execution, O&Mand Capital budgetsupport and management, as well as supportof regional initiatives/projects.The NGL PipelineSpecialist works with Regionallocations to provide technical support for pipeline facilities/activities within the Region.that include, but are not limited to: Provide a leadership role in the company’s responseto pipeline emergencies and failures Participate in root cause failureanalysis of assignedabnormal operations, near misses, failures and incidents Manage all aspectsof assigned projects including design, procurement, contracts, construction/implementation, documentation, cost tracking and forecasting Lead projectcommissioning teams through site review, PSSR completion, job planning, on-site direction, and final documentation Lead processimprovement efforts through verification/review of existing processes as well as research and develop new processes, and submitresulting projects to Division engineering for future budgetingand completion Responsible for providing training,direction and technical assistance to field operating personnel withinthe NGL Division, specifically operation and maintenance training and procedure review/development Participate / assistin Skill Qualification and Operator Qualification skill evaluations and re- verifications of field operating personnel related to pipelineoperations and maintenance Assist in OQ processreporting, appropriate assignments and adjustments identified needed to OQ program for NGL Receive development plans, analyze,assist Supervisors in leveraging common training opportunities. Assist in identifying / developing training(formal / OJT) in support of Skill Assessment process. Research and evaluate 3rd partytraining for technical skills. Create feedback tool from attendees. Adjust trainingas necessary Performs gate, ball, globe, plug valvesrebuilds and removes/replaces pump(s) Uses softwareto download and interpret data for troubleshooting and to determine / make adjustments to alignment Calibrates and/or troubleshoots, repairs/replaces line of sight or ultra-sonic detector Troubleshoots and identifies failed PLC component(s) Tests, diagnoses, and repairs/replaces coriolismeter component(s) Performs Meggertest and interprets data. Troubleshoots transferswitches for proper operation (testing and maintenance) Adds a ladder or loop to a PLC program to place additional equipment in service, verifies operation of new program additions before placing them in service,and saves the revisedPLC program Creates new HMI screens,modifies the HMI program to trend pressuredata, and saves for DOT recordsPositionrequires approximately 35% travelwithin area of responsibility.Basic Qualifications:

High school degree or GED

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills

Essential Desired Qualifications:

At least 4 years’ experience in NGL operations & maintenance

Ability to use and analyze XMAP information and data

Ability to demonstrate sound judgment

Ability to make sound decisions and corrections when problems are detected

Ability to assume responsibility, perform duties, and handle tasks underpotentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions

Knowledge of safety rules and practices

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Ability to work well in team and independent environment

Good organization skills and customer relations skills

Preferred Skills Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point andMicrosoft Project. Previous experience in conducting group training sessions is a plus. Basic education with specialized course work or training in physical sciences, mathematics, mechanical technology, andpersonnel management.Special Characteristics/Job Requirements Incumbent is subject to extended work-days and/or work-weeks. Required to carry a cell phone and is subject to 24-hr/day callout at anytime for emergency response. Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas,adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, and cramped conditions. Ability to travel is required and may be extensive at times.Basic Qualifications:

Routinely reacts to visual, audio and other signals,including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.May work in confined spaces (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels).Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higherlevels, raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transport aload up to 75 lbs., apply up to 100 foot pounds of torque. Must have theability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads.Occasionally must wear special safety equipment while working and must beable to lift and put on emergency breathing apparatus and/or protectiveequipment.
