We are seeking an Automation Specialist to join our Rexel team at our Missouri City, TX location! Summary of Key Responsibilities :
Processes & assembles lighting portion of job quotes as well as individual quotes.
Faxes request for quote to all vendors/reps required.
Reviews rep quotes and exceptions & compares to fixture schedule/requirements.
Inputs all formal quotes with special attention to fixture schedule requirements (i.e.: part #’s, descriptions, lamping & voltages). Makes all appropriate exceptions required. Adds an approx 5-8% freight line.
Works closely with our outside sales staff to determine our discount and our final mark up to customer.
Faxes & files all formal quotes.
Upon receipt of a project for submittal – inputs “won” in the quotes system, coordinates with manager to determine who will run the lighting project, then emails that person the quote and hands over quote file to that person.
Answers miscellaneous incoming quotes calls.
Participates in product meetings, seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge.
Participates in improving operations by offering potential solutions to existing methods.
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of lighting products.
Ability to effectively communicate with outside sales staff, customers and co-workers to satisfy job requirements.
Ability to prioritize and organize job tasks.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.
Ability & willingness to pitch in and help others if required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience, specifically with lighting and products.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and ability to drive decisions with influence.
Product and application knowledge essential.
Qualified applicants must be customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate/advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/Word.
